The ecological platform SOS Pirineus<\/strong> has publicly requested the resignation of Ramon Chia as mayor of Fontanals de la Cerdanya and, especially, of Isidre Chia (Junts) as president of the Cerdanya Regional Council<\/strong> . The group bases its request on the need to preserve institutional integrity and given the seriousness of the alleged urban planning and management irregularities that, according to them, affect the region. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

During an event held last week in Bellver de la Cerdanya<\/strong> , SOS Pirineus<\/strong> stressed that the accumulation of cases of alleged urban corruption and the lack of strong responses from local authorities have generated a climate of citizen distrust and a perception of impunity in public management.<\/p>

The platform stressed that, although there is no firm judicial conviction or formal accusation against the Chias<\/strong> , the seriousness of the facts investigated and their public relevance justify the demand for resignation due to political and ethical responsibility.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
